We chose Country Comfort because of its location on the Red Cedar Trail and roomy sunlit facility. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was clean with luxurious towels and the food was incredible (poached pears and smoked salmon omelets!). The Legacy Chocolates are awesome. The view across the Red Cedar River with the day-glo maples of fall was beautiful. The variety of food and drink items, as well as choice of breakfast time, was better than any other B&B where I haved stayed. We also had a wonderful time biking on the trail. I highly recommend this place!
Country Comfort is the most delightful bed and breakfast my husband and I have ever experienced! If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay along with the most luxurious bed imaginable, this is the place for you! It has been a month now since we stayed at the Country Comfort and just thinking about our weekend stay there brings back a feeling of total relaxation. In addition to being a fabulous place to stay, the breakfast prepared by Loren and Judy is a gourmet experience complete with surprises such as yummy strawberry preserves, fresh baked homemade bread, and maple syrup from a nearby farm. You will love staying here!

What an exceptional value when staying in the Menomonee area! The Country Comfort B&B overlooking the Red Cedar River is in the country but just a mile from town. The accomodations are immaculate with no detail overlooked. The breakfast is gourmet and first rate. Best of all the hosts, Loren and Judy, are wonderful, gracious hosts and very thoughtful and thorough. Highly recommended!
Unfortunately I spent only one night at this amazing b & b….wish it could have been an extended visit. The house is welcoming and perfectly appointed….and the bed was perhaps one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. I so appreciated the atmosphere — plenty of privacy, good public spaces, perfectly situated close to the trail. Breakfast was just right — and I loved the choice of savory or sweet. I’ve had too many b & b experiences that have been “too cute” while this experience was simply perfect. I stayed in the room named “Joy” downstairs and will definitely sleep in that bed again!
Absolutely fabulous place to stay for serene relaxing atmosphere. The hosts are wonderful and the breakfast is five star quality. Most if not all of the ingredients are farm fresh from the surrounding area. Excellent!!
i’ve stayed at a lot of places in my day but never left with the feeling i had when saying goodbye to Country Comfort. i hated to leave! Judy and Loren were the kindest hosts with the most comfortable, welcoming home ever. The setting and views were so lovely, not to mention the amazing, all homegrown, totally delicious breakfasts. i can’t wait to come back! thankyou for a truly heartwarming experience.

The breakfasts are totally top-notch, not the usual or standard offerings. Loren brings some imagination and delicous ingredients to the plate. We loved the use of local ingredients and the creative and thoughtful presentation of everything we ate … and we ate everything!
What makes Country Comfort even more enjoyable is the exquisite attention to detail and service. I was just back from a walk on a chilly drizzle of a day and plunked down in a comfy chair on the porch. A short time later Judy comes out with a wonderful, soft “blankie” to cover me up!
I highly recommend Country Comfort and will look forward to many return visits.
